Information about the country house:
Gerda and Reiner are looking forward to welcoming you to our beautiful, old, thatched country house. The house was built in 1872 and in 2010/2011 the inside of the house was completely renovated. From the gallery you will see the interior of the house and the result of the renovation.

Our House
The country house is located in a quiet area at the end of Nybygade. The garden is full of birds singing, and out on the fields there is a chance to see hares and deer. This place offers you the opportunity to relax and enjoy the beautiful nature of Falster where you will also find the longest and best beaches in Denmark.
We have named our country house “Hyggebo” (after the Danish word “hygge”). The Danes are known for being the happiest people in the world and known for having fun. We hope you will have a “hyggelig” stay here.
Inside the house:
The house is 172 m2 and is equipped with 6 beds. On the ground floor you will find a large kitchen/sitting area.
The kitchen is equipped with all necessary kitchen utensils. A small hallway leads you to two bedrooms that are nicely furnished. Next to the rooms you will find a bathroom with a shower.
We have named one room “Landlyst” (Country Delight). This room contains a double bed (200X180) with good mattresses. The other room we have named “Sommerlyst” (Summer Delight). This room contains 2 good box mattresses (200X80). There is the opportunity of two single beds or pushing the beds together, making a double bed.
The bathroom contains a sink, a shower, a toilet, and a washing machine.
On the
first floor you will find the living room. Here it is possible to watch TV, DVD
movies, listen to music, read a book etc.
On the first floor you will also find
the third room, which is nicely decorated. We have named this room “Sølyst” (Sea
Delight). In this room, you will find a bed (200x160) with a good mattress.
Next
to this room there is a small, separate toilet. We have furnished the house
with new and old furniture.
From the
kitchen/sitting area there is access to a wooden terrace and further out into
the garden. In the garden you will find two sun lounges, a garden table and six
garden chairs, a sunshade, and a gas grill.
In the garden you can relax and
read a good book or play games, have a barbecue or … you decide.
In the
backyard of the garden, you will find a small hut. We have named this hut
“Lille Hytte 1”. Here you will find, among other things, a large sofa bed. In
front of “Lille Hytte 1” there is a small terrace where you can enjoy the
sunset to the west.
In the driveway you will find “Lille Hytte 2”. Here are 3
bicycles to be used at your own risk.

Gedesby is a small, idyllic village. There is a village pond, a church, an old windmill, and beautiful old houses.
The baker is only 350 meters away. Here you will find a variety of good bread and cakes baked according to old recipes.
The windmill is open during weekends, and it is possible to make a good purchase at the windmill flea market. Many activities are available in the local area: Golf, fishing, sailing, surfing, kiting, biking, and hiking trail. It is also possible to go for an excursion to Møns Klint, Stevns Klint, Bon Bon Land, Knuthenborg Safari Park, Skovtårnet or take a city trip to Nykøbing Falster, Maribo, Copenhagen ...

Getting there
The address is: Nybygade 17, Gedesby, 4874 Gedser.
(Gedesby is located 4 km north of Denmark’s southernmost point Gedser).
Turn off at Gedesby windmill and drive towards the beach and turn right off Nybygade (by the yellow house). You will find number 17 on your left hand at the end of the street, driving directly into the driveway.

Prices:
We have divided the rental period into high season and mid-season.
The price in the high season is 1.540,00 € per week (incl. electricity, water, heating, and finish cleaning)
The price in the mid-season is 1.140,00 € per week (incl. electricity, water, heating, and finish cleaning)
The high season is from July the 1st to August the 31st and Easter, Whitsun, Christmas and New Year’s Eve (weeks 51 and 52)The price in the high season is 1.540,00 € per week (incl. electricity, water, heating, and finish cleaning)
The price in the mid-season is 1.140,00 € per week (incl. electricity, water, heating, and finish cleaning)
Mid-season is from September the 6th and until December the 18th of and from January the 1st abd until June the 30th. (The Easter and Whitsun weeks are main season).
The rental week is from Saturday to Saturday.
We will try to keep the calendar on the website updated to show which weeks are already booked and which are available for booking.
